N: Fri 4 June

We had a late start today after a good sleep. We decided we should not waste too much time as this is our last day in Vienna.

We started by taking an outside look at a couple of the impressive public buildings - Parliament and the Rathaus, these were only 10 minutes walk from our flat. Then we took pot luck and visited the Tecchnische Museum which wasn't far from Schonbrunn. This was a good choice as it was well laid our with some samples of the best industrial machinery around. After a cake and kaffee in the Konditerie we spent a fair bit of time admiring the big machines with beautiful gears and DC generators. When it was apparent that AMB was not as enthused as me we moved onto the sewing machines. They had one which was purported to be the oldest in the world. Lighting of this section was poor - so no photos of sewing machines.

After the museum we headed off to the Naschmarkt for the 2nd time and stocked up for dinner. One of the attractive bars in the market drew us in for some sustenance, ie 2 weissweins. We got back to the flat for a late lunch, confirmed the taxi for 5 am tomorrow and once again packed our bags. Then lamb chops for dinner washed with a nice red. Note - photos are not in right order.
